GAMES and EVENTS
PARTICIPANTS IN THE GAME (Players, Coaches, Cheer, Officials)
All students and staff will sanitize hands upon entering the bus and have facial
coverings in place.
Dressing areas for teams and officials will be sanitized prior to arrival.
Prior to each game, all staff members, officials, participants, and event workers will
be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.
All participants must have their own water to drink so that bottles are not shared.
Spur ISD will provide water bottles for participants.
Participants will be separated from fans during entry and exit to the contest. There
will be NO spectator contact with any participant.
Cheerleaders/band members will remain separate from participants and fans
throughout the contest. Student groups should avoid mixing with fans or non-group
members throughout the game or contest. Fans must maintain at least ten feet of
distance from cheer/band members while they are in the stands.
Face coverings over the nose and mouth will be required for cheerleaders, and band
members when not actively playing an instrument or cheering.
Spectators, Fans, Media:
Everyone age 10 and older will be required to wear a face covering over the nose
and mouth unless they are seated with members from their immediate household
and more than 6 feet away from other spectators. Exceptions will also be granted to
anyone that has a medical condition that prevents wearing a mask or if they are
consuming food or a beverage.
There will be no mixing of spectators and participants before or after the game on
the football field.
By entering into the game as a spectator, you acknowledge that you are not
currently showing symptoms of COVID-19 and are not currently a lab confirmed
positive case or under quarantine at the of guidance medical personnel or the
county health department in which you reside.
No elementary students will be allowed to attend unless accompanied by a parent or
guardian. All children must sit with their parents/guardians in the stands.
Secondary students (6-12) will be allowed to attend but will have the same
guidelines as they do at school. Students must have a face covering if they are not
social distanced. Students will be asked to leave the event if they are not abiding by
the rules set forth and will not be allowed to attend any games during that same
sport season.
The UIL has recommended a maximum of 50% occupancy in the facility. The home
stand capacity is 3,000 and the visitor stands occupancy is 150, although there will
be areas where visiting fans will be able to sit in lawn chairs or picnic style in the
grass. We are not going to count those attending due to the size of the stadium and
the ability for the visitors and home fans to social distance. The visiting team fans
WILL NOT enter on the home side. They will park and enter the contest down by
the pavilion located in Swenson Park. Porta Potty’s will be available to the visiting
team.
All spectators are expected to practice social distancing protocols.
Groups will maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other groups at all times. A
group is defined as no more than 10 people including the members of the household
and those who travel together to the facility.
Consecutive row seating will not be allowed.
At least 6 feet of distance should be maintained between individuals in and around
concession and bathroom facilities. We ask that all spectators wear masks anytime
they are not sitting in with their immediate family and cannot social distance.
Press box and scoring areas will be sanitized prior to use. Access to these areas will
be limited to essential workers.
Again, at the completion of the game, there should be no spectator mixing or
interacting with the participants on the football field.
PARKING
Home team parking will be in the lot located at the top of the of the football field.
Athlete and visiting school’s transportation will be parked at the bottom in the
parking lot between the fieldhouse and the weight room.
Visiting fans will park in Swenson Park around the pavilion area and along the road.
Visiting teams’ band, cheerleaders, etc. are expected to also park and enter the field
in this same area. The only parking inside the stadium that will be available will be for people with handicap or disability needs. There are still a limited number of spaces available, so these are first come first served. Any visiting team handicap needs will be coordinated between the superintendents of the schools. Only Visitors will be allowed to use the Handicap parking at the Swenson Park entrance. All Home Handicap parking will be located at the top by the concession area.
Concession Stands:
• All workers will be required to wear face coverings.
• Condiments and flatware will be available on request, and only in single use
packets.
• Contact between workers and patrons will be limited as much as possible.
• Patrons will be expected to maintain a minimum of 6 feet of social distance
while waiting in line unless they are with members of the family that live in
the same household.
• As of this time there will be no concession stand available on the visitor’s
side.
